![]() What doesn't work? Script - it's very bad, boring story, twists, especially relation between Jax and Dex. What works? Well, some quest are fine, voice actors do very good job, jetpack have been improved and now it's very cool tool. The sequel is worse than the original in almost every element: quest design, story, performance, music, and even graphic (E2 can be really ugly). Massive step back for PB, who I assume didn't care much about Elex2. Massive step back for PB, who I assume didn't care much about The biggest disappointment of 2022 and maybe one of the worst game of the year. The biggest disappointment of 2022 and maybe one of the worst game of the year. Surely, after making RPGs for more than two decades, they could have come up with a NEW plot. Oh, and the plot is a downer too the game has exact same plot as EVERY previous RPG these developers have made become friends with factions in order to take down the bad guys. Its only the little things, such as not showing important people on map when you are desperately trying to find someone, that lets the game down, making me give it 8 instead of 9. As someone who loved the RPG genre on PC back in the 'good old days', this game is a genuine treasure. Visual quality has been upgraded all round from first game too. Mission objectives do not always show on map or log, so you need to remember what was said and who you were supposed to meet where, in order to finish missions 100% in those instances where the game claims you finished mission even tho you did not get closure/final reward by talking to the quest givers. Finding trainers and quests is still bit of a pain as you have to talk to everyone you see in case they happen to be able to train you or give you a mission. Skill trees and level upping are about the same as in the first game bit limited and restrictive, meaning you have to once again think carefully which skills you want. Missions are just as involving and varied as in the first game, and there's plenty missions to go around. You should be able to craft them after few hours of gaming, allowing you to fly higher and even fight while airborne. You now have access to good armor early on, making you much more durable. ![]() Gameplay feels more balanced all round too. And this time around there are lot less hazardous zones, making exploring during early game much safer and easier. Well, I'm happy to say that Elex II is even better! Map is again huge, and filled with even more loot and hidden treasures, so you can get wealthy and geared up in no time. I really liked the first Elex a old skool, hard as nails RPG that took me back to the good old days of PC gaming, but on a modern console. Dive into a huge, hand-crafted, completely unique world with multiple factions and diverse environments set in a post-apocalyptic science fantasy universe. In order to defend the peace on Magalan and the safety of his own family, Jax has to go on a mission to convince the factions to unite against the invaders. Several years after Jax defeated the Hybrid, a new threat arrives from the sky, unleashing the dangerous powers of dark Elex and endangering all life on the planet. ![]() ELEX II returns to the post-apocalyptic Science Fantasy world of Magalan with massive environments that can be explored with unrivaled freedom via jetpack, you will be able to move through the epic story any way you want.
